C64: The wait is over

Awesome! Now, if you could only do the same for the Amstrad CPC…

Hi. Am a bit perplexed with this initial release. Where’s international karate , or Bruce lee ?it may be important to be aware of multi format releases back then to broaden the emulator base. These are the games to get people excited haven’t heard of the ones bundled. (I was an atari 800xl owner which released the games mentioned) but great work with the emulation thanks

p.s. Amiga emulator ?

Very nice app but of course there are better C64 games like IK+, Turrican II, The Great Giana Sisters, Last Ninja, Boulder dash, Pirates, Maniac Mansion. Maybe it’s better to bundle some games for one fair price.

I’m looking forward to have the chance to load C64 memory from outside (I developed some games for the C64 in the old hard 6502 asm) and can’t wait to show them in the iPhone!

Cool that you got approval, but the BASIC was the only reason I wanted to jump on it.  The keyboard emulation you worked on was great. 

Perhaps in future i’ll pick up this app.

There also doesn’t seem to be a facility to add custom C64 disk files to run with the emulator, only the 5 games provided.

Apple do not allow us to open for you to install your own games, we would love this and will keep trying to convince Apple.

For the games - have patience, new games are submitted to Apple, but we´ll have to wait for them to approve. As soon as they approve our first gamepack, it will be 4 sports games from commodore, we´ll begin to submit lot´s of the way better games. So plz signup on the mailinglist and be noticed as soon as we have more goodies for you.

Just wanted to tell you:  I’m perfectly willing to buy the C64 emulator ... it looks awesome.

But I’ll be damned if I’m going to pay for the C64 games themselves!

So, before I buy the App I want to know how we get other C64 games on the iPhone. I’d like a program where I can copy them from the PC to the iPhone myself.

I think it would be good if you could address the legal hurdles you’ve undoubtedly been facing on getting the rights to some games in a blog post. As a programmer myself, I know how difficult this can be - plus I’d like to hear some of your plans for the emulator.

Congratulations to the Manomio team for their efforts! But it seems like that app isn’t available in the Swedish App Store at the moment for some unknown reason.

I hope to be able to buy it soon and that a lot of classic games will be available for download.

Overall great emulator!

The overscan effect is cute, but annoying.  Not all of us had old TVs hooked up.  Serious C64er’s used real monitors.

PS:  How are we supposed to do any real programming without COLON & SEMI-COLON keys

I deleted the save state to view the Cracktro.

Could you release the full version via Cydia, or some other paid means?  I’m pretty sure you could setup a PayPal account and release the compiled IPA (perhaps for beta testing) without violating any licensing issues.

Yes, please, release it on Cydia. I’m not going to pay $$$ for a crippled version. I’ll probably just get it from Appulous, fool with it for a few minutes, and delete it.

I have found many codes that can delete the basic information module. All of them have worked but all of them have deleted my background. When I enter the code I always have to clear the CSS box causing me to lose my background.cartier watches

I’m currently thinking of purchasing the newly launched iPad from Apple. It’s quite expensive though. Perhaps I’ll get a part time job in a writing services company for at least two months to raise money for this gadget. I think it’s better than c64.
